Now this information is true and accurate information, but I thought you would like actual testimony from the user. This is a great  wood processor. I am replacing it because I am splitting bigger wood than it will do. The maximum size wood you can put through it is about 14 inches. I know because I did it many times. The splitter ram is fast and powerful, but like all processors you should watch out for trying to split a crotch through it. If you are going to do this get out the sledgehammer. The knife wedges are very good and give a clean split rather than the explosion and splinters of bigger splitters. We did not have to adjust anything on the splitter. When I say that I say that there may be a belt on it somewhere, but it is absolutely self adjusting and we never have had to touch it. I have heard horror stories about other brands this size. The saw is fast and has good control. Here are the advantages of buying this used. First, you get to meet me. Second, you get an extra six way wedge with it. You also get a log deck and hydraulic log advance that goes with it. These extras normally sell for about 2 to 3 thousand dollars. Therefore for a price a little less than new price for the basic unit you get three thousand dollars of extra stuff that will make operating the unit easier. The unit is less than one year old. I used it last season and have moved up to a larger processor. It will operate off a tractor as small as 25 horsepower. I just did not have a tractor that small. This one was way over kill. It will transport on the back of a tractor easily and folds up nicely. The conveyor included and that travels with the unit is great and works well - it will swing from side to side about 15 degrees each direction so that you can fill a truck bed without moving the truck. If you have a lot of wood no bigger than 14 inches this thing is better than sliced bread. Let me hear from you. You should buy this now to get ready for the Fall.
